| Hi guys. I like X-Box. It is my favorite box. I had a toaster box before. It wasn't as fun. I have every system in the world. PS, PS2, Gamecube, Dreamcast, Jaguar, Genesis w/ 32x and Sega CD, Super Nintendo, Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Game Gear, Game Boy, Linx, Atari, and a few others. I have not seen the light of day in three years. I like videogames. They help me escape this world.

I've played XBox. It sucks, in my humble opinion.
I've played GameCube too. It was better, but I don't like how many of the games are geared more towards a younger, less serious gaming generation, if you will. ;)
I am in love with my PS2 and spend as much quality "serious gaming" time with it as humanly possible. XBox does not have FFX, thus is reeks of shittiness. Bottom line. If XBox is on the tail of PS2, I think that pretty damn crappy, considering PS2 was released a year before the XBox system and it STILL hasn't caught up.

| Great site guys:)I would like to say something exept the common "Fuck Xbox" about the machine and the problems with the lack of distribution and the amount of money which are neaded to pay and buy the console.
Here in Greece at least half of the nation's population have a console or more plus a pc.The first problem is the high price we have to pay for the Xbox,although in europe a factory of m/s exists and manufactures Xboxes (in Hungury exactly) the price for the system with all it's peripherieals and a game is around 700 euros.To understand how much money that are, Nintendo's GameCube costs around 250 euros and it's inported from Japan with all the taxes.We can also buy a new DC for only 60 euros and we can easilly find many many games for that.The second major problem which appeared and to other european countries is the very very bad distribution.In computer stores there were joypads of Xbox, games and all the other things that anyone can buy for it but there was no Xbox console!About the hardware there are many many silly points.For example how can a machine with a GF3 GPU at 236 bits(i am not sure about the exaxt number) and a proccesor at 32 bits called 128 bit console.Xbox is full of common computer hardware and comparing with a super-duper pc we can add to the 700 euros 100 more and buy one.Keep in mind that UK sells Xbox to a higher price.If m/s really wants to dominated has to convince the third larger market that we can afford buying one and with the problem at Japan of low sales it is gonna be a lot harder.That's hust a few words and I did not involve any technoligical details and become boring. | |

| Hi, I'm one of the creators of this site, and in all honesty, it was only meant to be a joke. I never wanted to start these arguements and rants on these messageboards, and I definitely did not intend any harm towards XBox (or any gaming console for that matter).
I've seen the XBox graphics, and ok, they're very good. Even the gameplay is great, but someone like me does not have $1000 to spend on a system (heck, I only work 25 hours a week!). It's just not my thing, I can't seem to "bow" down to Microsoft. Oh well. :) Enjoy your consoles out there, and enjoy the site! | |

| XBOX is not the worst thing in the entire universe. I personally think it is a rather good gaming system. I feel differently about Playstation2 because one's company only makes a second version of a console because the first one wasn't good enough. Microsoft is a good company, and since XBOX is their first gaming system, I think some of you anti-XBOX ought to give it a second(third, forth, fifth) chance. It's really not that bad.

Playstation2 was made becuase playstation one did so well, not becuase "they had to fix the mistakes" of playstation one. It doesn't seem like you have a good grasp on capitalism, thinking that people would only make one product and leave it at that. New car models come out every year. Lastly, Microsoft is a VERY bad company. Period.

| My biggest gripe with the xbox is that it's just a PC (with dodgy hardware) which is non upgradable.... I already have a pc (with way better hardware) so why should I buy one? For the games? don't really like what's not available for other sytems anyway .... Secondly the controllers are gargantuan and definatly not designed for my hands, in comparison, the gamecube controller is a dream come true.....
If we also take into account the fact that M$ has a shoddy customer service record (frankly they don't care much about their customers.....) then I definatly don't want a xbox

| i despise the xbox. 1. its a chopped up PC 2. controllers are mammoth 3. console looks like a freaking VCR. 4. made by the scum of the earth corporation. 5. copies PS2 and their games 6. an upgrade to Dreamcast which failed miserably. 7.has so many problems in the hardware 8. has to have many hookups just to play DVDs (so MS can get more money) 9. the only games that backs xbox up is Halo and DOA3.

| I don't have anything against the xbox or ps2 as such. All my hatred is towards Microsoft.
Why?
Because of their unfair business practices and their abuse of power. Comon microsoft didn't just make the xbox because they wanted to make a good machine (which it isn't), they just wanted more market share!!, they they can rip even more people off.
They do that with office, windows in general.
If i had the money i would buy a xbox... then install linux - i know microsoft loses money selling the fuckers so they rip people off on the games.

If you took all the PS2 units that have been sold (33 million I belive) and stacked them all up they would make a 2.3 foot high wall, all the way around the M25 (That's the motorway that surrounds London for you Americans) while, in fairness Microsoft can also do this, now they have sold nine Xboxes. | |

If you took all of the current PS2's made, then SUBTRACT all of the ones that have BROKEN or FAILED to work... you'll have a much smaller number of consoles actually out there than you think. Fact: Sony shipped the PS2 knowing full well that there were hardware problems. Go to any babbages, Software Etc., Game Stop, etc, etc... and ask them how many demo models they've gone through. I promise you the number will be greater than 2, FOR EVERY STORE YOU ASK!!!!!!

| First, to the person who said that the GameCube is a "kiddy machine" Go play Eternal Darkness, Metroid Prime, Resident Evil 1 and 0, and check out the soon-to-be-released Capcom five, and keep in mind that the only console that BMX XXX WASN'T censored on was the GameCube, so grow up and stop flinging taunts, the GameCube is a cool system.
I think we should all band together here, GameCube owners and Playstation owners. I have both, and love 'em both. I don't like seeing what MS have done to the industry. Fuck me dead if "Dead and Alive Beach Volleyball" is a game, it's this sort of stuff appealing to the lowest common denominator that MS does so well.
Halo was a fluke, because they screwed game players everywhere and bought the company. The they made Bungee get rid of the five last level because the were taking so long, and then MS told Bungee to make players turn around at the end and play through the game backwards, to make it longers....all this on a console with rooted controls for a FPS, it never should have gone there.
No MS are making some game in Japan, P.O.R.N or N.U.D.E or some shite, again to appeal to spotty teenage boys who can't buy a date and losers everywhere.
No other company could stay in business as long as they have losing the sort of money they are, how can you say they are a success? They have fuck all good games.
They are only selling stuff cheap (console and three games) to undercut their opposition. Wait until they succeed, and see what the prices do then!
In short, MS make a dumb "entertainment system" that appeals to brain dead and casual gamers, they employ unethical tactics, they are killing creativity, and they make up for their lack of sense with an excess of money and a philosophy of "If you can't make your own stuff, buy it."
